A substantial polished Petrified Wood sphere featuring beautifully preserved wood grain in warm shades of golden brown, caramel, taupe and deep chocolate.

This piece has an especially organic appearance, with visible grain structure, layered banding and natural mineralized areas wrapping around the entire sphere. The varying patterns become more apparent as the sphere is rotated, giving every viewing angle a different character.

Petrified wood forms over immense periods of time as the original organic material of ancient wood is gradually replaced by minerals while retaining much of its original structure and pattern.
